One loadsheet.
Subscribed or made by hand.

A loadsheet is produced by subscribing to a flight, or created manually on the device where there is no connectivity. From there it is one document: crosschecked against the takeoff calculation, signed, and revised when a last minute change comes in.

Overview

One sheet, more than one route to it

Load control events sit above the line and flight deck events below it. The filled markers are the two points where the commander signs.

Subscribed or manual

Subscribing to a flight brings the figures in and keeps the crew devices on the same edition. A loadsheet can also be created manually on the device, which is how a station with no connectivity still produces one.

Every edition kept

Each edition of the sheet is retained with the figures that produced it, so the sequence from the first figures to the signed sheet can be read back afterwards.

Signed, and signed again

Biometric signature on the flight deck applies to the edition in front of the commander, and a last minute change is signed again on the revised sheet.

01Start

Subscribed to a flight

The device subscribes to a flight from the flight list, and the preliminary loadsheet, the final loadsheet and the NOTOC arrive as they are issued.

A preliminary sheet from planned figures

Estimated passenger, bag and cargo figures produce a preliminary sheet as soon as the flight is planned, so the shape of the load is visible while there is still time to act on it.

The load plan reaches the ramp

Distribution instructions go to the loading team in the form they work from, and the sheet tracks what has been confirmed as loaded.

Passenger and baggage figures arrive from the departure control system and the sheet moves from planned to actual as the aircraft fills.

The current edition is visible on the flight deck as the figures firm up, so the commander has been reading them well before signature.

The figures on the sheet are checked against the active takeoff calculation, so the weight the aircraft departs on is the weight the performance was computed for.

07Closeout

The final edition is issued

Closeout is handled in LoadCloseout, part of the weight and balance module. When loading and boarding are confirmed the final edition is produced and reaches the flight deck on the same data the desk holds.

09Without connectivity

A copy is held on the ground

A loadsheet created offline is calculated and signed on the device. A copy is held on the ground before the aircraft departs, digitally or on paper, and anything still unsent goes out on its own once connectivity returns.

10Last minute change

The figures are recalculated

A change after signature goes into the sheet and the figures are worked out again, so the weights and trim on the signed sheet are the ones the aircraft departs on.
